What the site provides
Roofline offers free calculators and written guides for planning roofing work. The calculators perform geometric arithmetic on the values you enter. The guides explain methods and cite the sources they rely on.
Planning estimates, not professional advice
Results are estimates for planning. They are not a survey, a structural or engineering assessment, a building-code determination, a product specification or a price quotation. Roofs have details a rectangle model does not capture, building codes are adopted and amended locally, and product coverage differs between manufacturers. Verify measurements, code requirements and product specifications with a qualified professional, your local building department and the manufacturer before you order materials or start work.
Safety
Nothing on this site asks you to go onto a roof. Working at height is dangerous. Leave work on the roof to people trained and equipped for it.
No warranty
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, about accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability. We correct errors we learn about; see Contact.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Schiesser IT, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for the cost of materials, labor or rework, arising from use of the site or reliance on its results. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

You may use the calculators and read the guides for personal and business planning. Do not interfere with the site’s operation, attempt to access it by automated means that burden the service, or present its content as your own.

Guides link to external sources such as building-code text and manufacturer data sheets; we do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or availability.
